I stopped by the grocery store yesterday to pick up more almond milk, but couldn’t resist buying
- 4 red delicious apples
- 2 bags of frozen spinach
- 1 bag of frozen lima beans
- canola oil
- iceberg lettuce
- green peppers
- wheat puff cereal
- frozen corn kernels
Total cost: $27
Just remember, you can only eat what you buy. Don’t bring temptation into your home and it will make it easier for you to resist eating unhealthy food!
I think my mom would be proud at my smart shopping. Anyway, my intention for the frozen spinach was to make egg white spinach omelette, but instead, they taste great in a smoothie!
Spinach Smoothie Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 cup of chopped frozen spinach
- 1/4 frozen/fresh banana
- 1 spoonful of berries (Optional)
- 3 tbsp of Nutrilite protein powder
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- ~2 cups of water
Blend and enjoy! The spinach is flavorless so the banana will help flavor the smoothie, but the shredded spinach adds another level of texture to the smoothie making it creamier somehow.
I’ve been drinking it as a healthy dinner replacement and it keeps me full until I go to bed. It’s especially good after a workout because it helps replenish water and protein.
